Equipment Operator
Key Responsibilities
- Take direction and work independently as needed
- Work includes bending, stooping, squatting, shoveling, raking, digging, climbing, pulling string line, operating hand and power tools, taking grade shots from a level
- Experience with GPS will be taken into consideration
- Ground work required as needed
- Working conditions include heat, cold, rain, snow, mud, confined spaces
Job Requirements
- Must have demonstrated experience in operating a dozer, excavator, backhoe, loader, and mini excavator (testing will be required)
- Basic skills and understanding of the setup and use of a laser
- For Pipe Crew Operators Only: 1-2 years experience in installation of storm, sanitary, water line and force main pipe
- Must hold a valid Virginia driver’s license
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
