Fuel / Lube Truck Driver

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class 8 truck equipped with tools/mechanical equipment needed to lube and fuel (diesel) heavy equipment at jobsites throughout the Hampton Roads area.
  • Climb and maneuver around heavy equipment including excavators, backhoes, skid steers, loaders, rollers, etc. to lube/fuel equipment as needed
  • Inspect, maintain, replace fire extinguishers on heavy equipment monthly
  • Keep accurate fueling and maintenance records for heavy equipment
  • Assist Fleet Driver with moving heavy equipment as needed
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Work independently but also take direction
  • Work in all types of conditions including rain, ice, snow, heat, mud

Job Requirements

  • Must possess a VDOT Commercial Class A license minimum with current DOT Medical Card
  • Must have transportation to/from Hudgins’ office located in Hampton, VA
  • VADL Hazmat with Tank endorsement is required
  • Must have a favorable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Must have a clean record on the CMCA / FMCSA Clearinghouse

Schedule

  • Weekends as needed

Compensation

From $22/hr, depending on experience
