Grade Foreman

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan productivity goals with Superintendent and manage a crew to achieve goals
  • Order materials, schedule deliveries, schedule haulers as needed to maintain productivity
  • Communicate effectively with Owners, Developers, Customers, Subcontractors, and Suppliers, representing Hudgins Contracting in a professional manner at all times.
  • Read blueprints and specifications
  • Experience with GPS is a plus
  • Work includes bending, stooping, squatting, shoveling, raking, digging, climbing, pulling string line, operating hand and power tools, taking grade shots from a level
  • Foremen may be required to operate equipment or perform groundwork as required to meet productivity goals
  • Working conditions include heat, cold, rain, snow, mud, and confined spaces

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position
  • Must have 1-2 years experience in installation of storm, including roof drains
  • Must have demonstrated experience in operating a dozer, excavator, backhoe, loader, and mini excavator (testing will be required)
  • Advanced skills and understanding of the setup and use of a laser
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs

Schedule

  • Weekends as needed

Compensation

From $30/hr, depending on experience
