Pipe Foreman
Key Responsibilities
- Plan productivity goals with Superintendent and manage a crew to achieve goals
- Order materials, schedule deliveries, schedule haulers as needed to maintain productivity.
- Communicate effectively with Owners, Developers, Customers, Subcontractors, and Suppliers, representing Hudgins Contracting in a professional manner at all times.
- Read blueprints and specifications
- Work includes bending, stooping, squatting, shoveling, raking, digging, climbing, pulling string line, operating hand and power tools, taking grade shots from a level
- Foremen may be required to operate equipment or perform groundwork as required to meet productivity goals
- Working conditions include heat, cold, rain, snow, mud, confined spaces and trench boxes
Job Requirements
- Must have 3-5 years’ experience in installation of storm (including roof drains), sanitary sewer, force main, and water line installation and testing
- Ability to install trench boxes and adhere to all related safety standard
- Demonstrated experience in operating a dozer, motor grader, excavator, backhoe, loader and bobcat / mini excavator. (testing will be required)
- Advanced skills and understanding of the setup and use of a pipe laser
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs
