Pipe Layer

Key Responsibilities

  • Take direction and work independently as needed
  • May be requested to operate equipment on occasion
  • Work includes bending, stooping, squatting, shoveling, raking, digging, climbing, pulling string line, operating hand and power tools, taking grade shots from a level
  • Working conditions include heat, cold, rain, snow, mud, confined spaces and trench boxes

Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience in installation of storm, sanitary, water line and force main pipe and testing
  • Basic skills and understanding of the setup and use of a pipe laser
  • Basic skills in brick-building storm structures are preferred
  • Basic skills in operating a loader / backhoe are preferred
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs

Schedule

  • Weekends as needed

Compensation

From $20/hr, depending on experience
